Some month ago I ran into an opening of a new restaurant in the neighbourhood and photographed traditional Syrian dancers and musicians who were performing at the inauguration.

I started to photograph more in my neighbourhood, because I like to get to know the people living around me. This is Hüsniye. I met her when I gave my jeans for fixing to the tailor close by, who is her husband. She used to be a glamorous singer with the most extravagant and elaborate dresses, performing in Turkish and German casinos in the 80s.

Dancing with preach at the one mother concert in Witten.

One Mother. I can just tell: Listen to what these girls have to say. When I first saw them at their concert three weeks ago I was overwhelmed by their energy, all the different political, sexual and emotional topics no one talks about, but they bring up and how they bring all this together with dedication, temper and coolness again.
As their new number one fan I took the chance to meet and photograph them again last Friday in Witten. And since good fans always steal the set lists of their idols, this is what you might detect here in the back. :>

. His album is, by the way, the best hip-hop/rap/rnb/trap/cloud album from a German artist right now I think.

Travis $cott concert last summer at Frauenfeld Festival. Actually this is the only usable picture of the film. Beyond that only blurry lights or the sky, because the crowd went nuts. Probably I hurt some people with the camera, too. Sorry for that.

This is an ongoing project I stumbled into. I never knew that much about cosplay or anime expect for sometimes seeing dressed up people at train stations, when there happened to be an event close by. On a Sunday a while ago I planned to cycle to the library. On my way I saw some zombies and vampires taking pictures in a little park. They told me there was an event close by and that I could just go inside. It was for free and there was no obligation of wearing a costume. The mood was very scurrying and fascinating. Every time I go there now I’m still impressed by the bustle of people testing out the boundaries of self-expansion.

I never unterstand when people are complaining about the weather and that it’s raining or cold again. I love when it’s changing a lot. Because with every new weather you can get yourself in a new mood.
When I was living in Barcelona, against my expectations, quiet often there were days with dark clouds and this particular atmosphere right before the rain. Sometimes I walked up to Montjuïc then, being closer to the sky, wandered trough the strange abandoned Olympic area, the gardens, went to the other side of the mountain to see the industrial zone and still a little bit further to the shelf cemetery.
